Birmingham Rep in Centenary Square, Birmingham

Community Creativity Exhibition

Starting off as a neighbourhood community group, a weekly art class has been running at The Rep for over 20 years.

Charismatic motivator, Tracey Dolby (1966-2022) taught the art class for over a decade with passion and creativity.

When the global pandemic forced theatres to close, Tracey continued the classes online with witty updates, quizzes and challenges for the group. Sadly, Tracey passed away in 2022.

Continuing Tracey’s legacy, Amy Carroll now leads the Art Class in The Rep’s Learning Hub.

Recent projects included 3-D mini sculptures for Jack and The Magic Beanstalk, producing the HIV memorial quilts and creating an array of stage props using recycled materials.
